    Leipzig's TRIP Festival accused of censoring pro-Palestine visuals

The duo were met with "discomfort" and "passive aggressive behaviour" from staff members, said Orlowski.     Hot Since 82 cancels Brazil gigs after car chase involving gunmen

    Tuesday, May 7th Carlos Hawthorn UK DJ and producer Hot Since 82 cancelled two gigs in Brazil over the weekend after narrowly escaping a car chase with gunmen. Detailed in a video on Instagram, the incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, May 4th, after the UK artist's show at Casa França Brasil in Rio de Janeiro.     Rick Wilhite launches GoFundMe following neuropathy diagnosis

    Tuesday, May 7th Michael Lawson Rick Wilhite has launched a GoFundMe to pay for his medical expenses after being diagnosed with neuropathy. The Detroit legend was recently diagnosed following "an unfortunate incident" that led to severe burns on his feet. "I'm currently recovering from my first round of treatment, including a surgical procedure," he wrote. "My mobility is minimal, and I'm in substantial pain. But I'm grateful." Read the full story.

    UK government watchdog investigates AlphaTheta's acquisition of Serato

    Sunday, May 5th Anu Shukla A UK government watchdog is investigating AlphaTheta's 2023 acquisition of Serato, saying the deal "could substantially reduce competition in DJ software." The probe found the merger may lead the music tech giants to consolidate the DJ software market (AlphaTheta is the parent company of Pioneer DJ). This could result in reduced competition and innovation for smaller hardware manufacturers, and increased prices and fewer choices for consumers.
